AUT Study – Looking for people aged 55 years and over

Researchers at the Auckland University of Technology are looking for people aged 55 years and over to talk about how being harmed or mistreated as an older person by somebody they know well has affected their health and wellbeing.

This is part of a larger study into the health and wellbeing of older people funded by the Ministry of Social Development.

If you:
• Are aged 55 years or older, AND
Identify with one of the following groups: New Zealand European, Māori, Pasifika, or as someone with a disability, AND
• Have been harmed or mistreated as an older person by someone close to you

They invite you to share your story (experiences and thoughts) by taking part in an individual interview (lasting up to 90 minutes) or wānanga or talanoa with other older people (lasting up to 2.5 hours).
