Residential support and NASC assessments and reviews

Have you had a recent assessment, or have you been waiting for residential support? We’re gathering feedback and would like to hear from you.

Carers NZ and community friends are monitoring whether allocations of disability support have changed since March. At that time the Government announced new rules for how some disability funding could be used. More recently new NASC (needs assessment) guidelines were released which made us wonder how disabled people and families would fare in reviews and assessments, given funding is being closely monitored to ensure NASCs stay within their new budgets. We want to understand how these changes are impacting allocations of support (if at all).
