Hearing voices is more common than people think; it is in fact a normal but unusual experience. However, it can be a frightening experience for both the hearer and family and friends who support them.

It is estimated that between 3-5% of the NZ population hear voices, yet less than 1% are ever diagnosed with an illness. Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ provides support and information to people who hear voices. Get in touch if you’re seeking advice for whanau, friends and caregivers of voice hearers, and / or looking for available support groups.
