Total Mobility Scheme

The Total Mobility Scheme assists people with eligible mobility issues around Aotearoa New Zealand to travel within their region. It’s aimed at people with temporary or long-term disabilities who cannot use public transport, and therefore need an alternative mode of transport to live their lives normally and stay connected with their community.

The maximum subsidy varies between regions and is set by your regional council. An assessment is required from approved agencies. Your GP should also be able to provide further information. To find out more about the Total Mobility Scheme in your region, see:
