Taranaki Base Hospital has emergency accommodation (Whaiora) that is available to family/whanau who have a patient in the Hospital. WWhaiora offers temporary accommodation for whānau visiting patients in hospital. Priority is given to whānau from outside the Hāwera area. The accommodation has room for 12 people.
