Loneliness Meetings – Waikato region

Waikato Loneliness Events

In June and July we will be talking to Waikato communities about loneliness and social isolation. We all experience these feelings sometimes, but how much loneliness and isolation is too much, and can it lead to health risks? Let’s talk about it. Refreshments are on offer and those who join our conversation will receive a $50 Pak’N’Save card. Please share and bring a friend! RSVP to centre@carers.net.nz with your contact details.

Our Upcoming Isolation and Loneliness workshops

Thank you for confirming you will attend one of our workshops. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and to sharing thoughts about loneliness, isolation, and how/who can help in our communities.

The workshops are part of a research project that is gathering feedback from across the Waikato region. You can read more about the overall project in the attached. We are asking everyone who attends to complete these documents and can discuss any questions at the meetings. If you are comfortable filling out the forms now, please do so and scan and return to us before the meeting. Or you can complete them at the meeting. There is also a survey here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D8PWWBF

By joining in the discussion you are helping to look at an issue that affects so many of us, and that we think about, but don’t always talk about. We are really looking forward to meeting everyone. Those who attend will receive a $50 Pak’N’Save card – these will be given at the meetings.

Questions? Please email centre@carers.net.nz

Would a friend or someone you know like to come with you to the meeting? That’s fine – just send us their details, so we can adjust catering and seating for them. Very best wishes, I’ll be at each meeting, and we’ll share what is learned after all the workshops finish.
